CHANGE COMING FOR SUMMER

On Thursday, June 4, 2020, the State University System directed Florida public universities to plan alternatives to in-person ceremonies due to continued COVID-19 health guidelines limiting gatherings. We regret the disappointment and inconvenience this will cause for graduates and their families who looked forward to attending the University of Florida's rescheduled spring graduation weekend July 31-August 2 or our regularly scheduled summer graduation weekend August 7-8 on campus.

Rather than reschedule the spring and summer graduation weekends only to face the possibility of cancellation, we want our graduates to know these things:

1. We are committed to providing every graduate the opportunity to participate in a future in-person ceremony once we are able to safely resume our regularly scheduled commencement ceremonies, but we cannot yet say when that will be.

2. We will contact our graduates once we are confident in-person ceremonies can resume.

Further, we want our Summer 2020 graduating class to know that we will hold a virtual graduation weekend for them on August 14 & 15. More details about this weekend will be available in the near future.
