Fall 2019 Graduation Checklist

Review and complete these steps to ensure a successful graduation.

1 Meet the Degree Requirements

Verify completion of all degree requirements with your adviser and college dean's office.

Clear your academic record and have any incomplete grades converted to satisfactory grades before graduation.

2 Apply to Graduate

Degree candidates must complete an online degree application on ONE.UF by the deadline to graduate. Under the Academics tab on left side of webpage, select degree application. By completing the degree application, degree candidates are applying for graduation.

3 Have Finances In Order

Satisfy all financial obligations (fines, tickets, fees, etc.) with the University Bursar in 113 Criser Hall.

Certain loans require students to complete an online exit interview. For more details about the different types of loans and to see if you need to complete an online exit interview, refer to the University Bursar.

4 Update Address Information

Ensure that your mailing address will be the most current address following graduation in order to receive your diploma.

5 Prep For Your Diploma

Your diploma will be mailed to the address entered on your degree application up to eight weeks after graduation. By commencement weekend, verify your name and permanent address on your degree application. Watch your UF email address for shipping and CeDiploma notifications.

6 Complete the Required Graduation Survey

All graduating students must complete the graduation survey the week before commencement. Graduating students cannot receive transcripts or a diploma without completion of the survey.

8 When to Expect Your Diploma

Diplomas are ordered for all graduating students by the Office of the University Registrar. Diplomas are ordered following the end of the graduation term for that term's graduating class, as soon as the individual schools and departments have posted their graduates' degrees to the students' educational records.
