Walking Out-of-Term (WOOT) is when a student close to finishing their degree, or who has recently finished their degree, requests the privilege of walking in a semester’s ceremony other than the one they are graduating, or have graduated, in.
For the Make-Up 2020 Ceremonies, these requests are slightly different. A graduate may want to return to walk, but be unable to do so in the May 6-9, 2021 weekend. In which case, fill out a WOOT application as any other candidate or graduate would, identifying the semester you graduated and the semester you are requesting to walk.
If you are not requesting to walk in a different semester, but rather on a different DAY than the one you are assigned, you should email UF-Commencement@ad.ufl.edu, identifying which college you are graduating from, which day you are assigned, and which date you are requesting to walk. Please note this is a REQUEST, not a guarantee. Answers may take until the end of the first week of April.
