We're looking forward to seeing you, Gator graduates and guests! The following will help prepare you for Make-Up 2020 in-person graduation weekend, scheduled for May 6-9, 2021.
- Helpful Tips
Give yourself extra time. Graduation weekend is fun and exciting, but it’s also busy. Give yourself plenty of time to find parking, check in for the ceremony, and find your assigned ticketed seating. Also, schedule time between the beginning or end of a ceremony and reservations you might be making.
Pre-plan. Decide as a family where you’ll meet after the ceremony, finding each other in a crowd can be challenging. Remember the Heisman statues and Bull Gator are the most chosen meeting spots, so consider choosing alternative meeting locations.
Review security policies. The O’Connell Center uses metal detectors and does not allow oversized bags (bags must be 15” x 9” x 6” or smaller). Check your pockets and bags before getting in line to enter the building.
- Accessibility
We have accessibility plans for our shuttles, parking, and seating. Please see our Make-Up 2020 ceremonies accessibility page for details.
- Dining
Beverage-only concession carts will be available in the O'Connell Center for guests.
Water is also accessible through bottle refilling stations. You can plan ahead and bring an empty disposable commercial water bottle, such as Aquafina or Nestle. Hard refillable water bottles, such as Yeti or Nalgene are not permitted in this facility.
