Students must wear regalia (cap and gown) in order to participate in commencement.

Regalia is an important part of the commencement tradition. For details about regalia, including ordering, pickup, and more, contact the UF bookstore directly:               

Cap & Gown Ordering

You can order your cap & gown through your Gator1 beginning in mid September, after you have submitted your application for graduation. A late fee will be charged on orders submitted after TBD.

Regalia pickup at the UF bookstore is December 11-December 16. You must bring your UFID with you.

Doctoral candidates rent a tam with orange tassel, gown with open sleeves, and hood with the option to buy the hood as a memento. The tam and tassel is yours to keep. Gowns must be returned by Monday, December 18 at 6pm to the UF Bookstore.

Master's and Specialist's degree candidates purchase a cap with black tassel, gown with slitted sleeves, and hood depicting the color of their college. 

Bachelor's degree candidates purchase and cap with tassel depicting the color of their college and gown with pointed sleeves.
