Regalia is an important part of the commencement tradition. For details about regalia, including ordering and shipping, contact the UF bookstore directly:

Cap & Gown Ordering

Graduating students order their regalia (cap and gown) through their Gator 1 beginning mid February (exact date TBD).

Any regalia orders received after the late deadline (exact date TBD) will incur a late fee.

Bachelor's, master's, and specialist's degree candidates purchase regalia. Doctoral candidates most often rent regalia.

Regalia pick-up is at the UF Bookstore in the Reitz Union beginning April 18.

Please note, the commencement office cannot assist with regalia orders, these must be managed through Regalia Services. Contact cap-gown@ufl.edu

Cap & Gown Requirement

Degree candidates must wear regalia (cap and gown) in order to participate in the University Wide Commencement ceremony.

Some college recognition ceremonies require regalia, others do not. Check with your college's recognition website or ceremony coordinator contact to ensure you plan accordingly.

Please note, the commencement office cannot assist with regalia orders. These must go through Regalia Services. Contact cap-gown@ufl.edu for questions.
